Working with the right partners can bring about great change, which is why ALDO is proud to support YouthAIDS, an education and prevention program of PSI that uses media, pop culture, music, theatre, and sports to stop the spread of HIV/AIDS. With its dynamic programmes tailored to suit the needs and tastes of its target audience, YouthAIDS reaches 600 million young people in more than 60 countries with life-saving messages, products, services, and care.

The campaign

Since 1985, a time when the AIDS cause was burdened by an unfortunate stigma, ALDO has generated more than $10 million in total through all of our AIDS initiatives combined. Our goals have always been consistent: to raise awareness and funds for the cause. In 2005, we decided to take a bold step and launched our first Aldo Fights AIDS campaign. With its striking portraits of celebrities, including Ludacris, Charlize Theron, Adrian Brody, John Mayer, Pink, Christina Aguilera, and Penelope Cruz, we promoted the campaign in 22 countries and raised millions of dollars for AIDS programmes around the world.

What's more, ALDO donates 100% of the net proceeds from the sale of each item to its charitable partner, YouthAIDS. The sale of ALDO fights AIDS products has generated $3.5 million in donations to date.
